Potty Training...Day 2

The first part of day 2 of potty training is more like what I expected yesterday to be. Almost every time I took her this morning and early afternoon she cried and whined and threw a fit. She still went on the potty when she needed too, but she sure didn't want to be there. Two days in a row she has gotten up from her nap dry and went straight to the potty. That's super impressive seeing as that until yesterday her diaper was always wet after nap. She also went first thing this morning, but that diaper was a little wet...9 hours is a long time! She did a little poop today and hasn't had any accidents today...YEA!! Later this afternoon and tonight have been great...no fussing when it was time to try to potty and going just as she should. I'm hoping and praying that by tomorrow we've compeletly got this down!! We'll have one more update tomorrow. Oh, the pictures have her with her first poop present. It wasn't the best one, but it wasn't much poop!! :)

Potty Training...Day 1

Today is the first day of our 3 day guide to being potty trained. Tammy has a 3 day schedule she uses to potty train kids that are ready for it. What you do is take them to the potty every 10-20 minutes all day long and let them sit there for anywhere from 5-15 minutes. It's a chore and I really excpected lots of fights. They still wear diapers when they are napping and sleeping. Abigail has had 3 accidents today, which for the first day I think is really good. She does really well "pushing" the pee pee out. Almost every time I put her on the potty she does something. Poop hasn't happened today and I hear that's usually harder. She is loving her panties...I mean loves them! When she pee pees or poo poos, she gets M&M's and/or potty presents. She got three presents today. I figured out pretty quickly that a couple of drops just wasn't enough for a present. Below is a pic of her with one of her presents...a Doodle Pro...she loves it. Okay, just had another accident...off to clean!

July 4th Weekend

We headed to Kilgore this past weekend to spend the holiday with my family. I was suppose to work on Friday, but decided at 2 on Thursday that I would really rather be off like the rest of my family. My boss let me off on short notice, so we hit the road Thursday night. Friday we did a little shopping, eating, etc. I think Abigail and mom were in the pool at 7 that morning...I of course wouldn't know cause I was getting all the extra sleep I could get!! Saturday we swam and ate and played games and watched fireworks...it was wonderful!! Dad, Eddy, and Andy went to the lake house to work a little, but I did no work this past weekend. Okay, well, I did help mom get caught up on clothes and cook all the food, but it was fun spending time with her. Abigail enjoyed the fireworks, as did Hunter. Andy bought some for us to do at the house...just like always. I love family traditions, and certain fireworks that we do all together every year is one of ours. Sunday was totally relaxing. I think I took a 2.5 hour nap!! Then home to Coppell. Traffic wasn't as bad as it's been before, so that was a huge blessing. It's amazing how quickly a nice family weekend can go!

William and Eddy. William doesn't normally smile so big in pictures, so I had to share it! And I swear he looks more like my dad each time I see him!

Hunter and Kim with a sparkler. I have to admit I wasn't brave enough to let Abigail hold it by herself like Hunter. He followed his daddy to light almost everyone...just couldn't help himself!

Abigail with her sparkler.

Abigail and Hunter having a hot dog lunch after swimming. And we didn't wait 1-2 hours before getting back in! :)

She is always ready to go swimming. She loves the water! Mom has some of the arm floaties and we put those on and she's off. I watch her like a hawk, but she's just so good and fearless! I figure that can be good and bad!
