The one on the left is from The Cupcakery in Frisco and the one on the right is from Sprinkles in Dallas. Everyone thinks we are totally crazy with our love of Sprinkles and most don't think they are as good as we do...so, is The Cupcakery better?? I'm going with no. The cake didn't hardly have any flavor. I mean, I can make a Pillsbury box with more flavor. The icing was okay, but a little to soft for my liking. They were a bit cheaper than Sprinkles, but only by fifty cents. And the decorating was a bit more extravagant, but who care what they look like! It's all in the taste! We also decided to rate service, since some think Sprinkles can seem snobby. Service at Sprinkles was even better than The Cupcakery. Just not very friendly and didn't really act like they cared to be there.
This is how we cut our cupcakes to eat them...again, we are crazy! But this way we get to taste more flavors without eating way too much! The pink one was a Strawberry Shortcake from The Cupcakery. It was a bit better than the Red Velvet, but not much. All in all, Sprinkles still has my heart in the cupcake world. A new shop called Dimples Cupcakes opens in Plano on Friday, so we'll see how that goes!

That is too funny. One of these days I will have to try Sprinkles. Now I have all this pressure to make amazing cupcakes for Taylor's birthday party! I doubt they will be as good as Sprinkles!
you are the funniest person EVER - sure do miss you, best friend!!!
btw, we have "crave" here in Houston - soooooooooooooo good. reminds me a LOT of Sprinkles.
Okay so this is sooo funny! My friend Gina and I were just discussing going to a cupcake place and we were debating between Sprinkles and the place in Frisco( we couldn't remember the name at the time) so now we know not to bother with the place in Frisco... frankly I could tell by your picture that I would like Sprinkles better! ;)
okay - you have to try individual sized bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Southlake(on Carroll Blvd behind the mall). They are the size of a big cupcake - if you don't love it to death, I will pay you for it!! Now go - try it!
Hi. You don't know me, I'm a friend of Katie Theaux's but if you are really into cupcakes and are willing to drive to fort worth, there is a place called J.Rae's that makes great cupcakes and cookies. (They even have an ice cream cone red velvet cupcake -they put the cupcake portion into the ice cream cone and then put the icing on top to look like a regular ice cream cone....)
That is hilarious! You guys crack me up! I love cupcakes too so be sure and keep us updated on the best ones out there!
Awesome. Just awesome!!
We will have to try the one in Plano sometime soon!
