Sesame Street Live!

Yesterday we went to see Sesame Street Live. It was a birthday gift from the Burks family, so we went with Aubrey and Nyssa. It was awesome and the girls had a blast. It's probably safe to say I enjoyed it as much as Abigail did!
The story was about finding the perfect place in Big Bird's garden to plant Elmo's flower Sunny.

It was a very "green" story...which I guess fits this day and age!

Birthday Party Pictures

Abigail's new outdoor play house. She took right to it and wasn't too happy when she had to get out so we could move it to the backyard!
View of the table with all the kiddos. I can't believe they actually wore the party hats! They were soooo cute!
Little Miss Abigail patiently eyeing her cupcake after blowing out her candle!

Opening her gifts surronded by lots of great famliy and friends!

Last Weekend

Abigail turned two last Saturday! She had a great day. Gymnastics that morning. It was her second class. She really enjoys it and seems to be getting more into it. Then Taylor came over to play and have a birthday lunch. After nap, which didn't last long, she went to get her two year pictures taken. That was an event as always. I've yet to have a pleasant experience in the last year, but I know it will change one day! Her actual birthday party was on Sunday. it was Sesame Street. She loves Elmos, but she really loves all the other characters too. The kids had a blast and were totally worn out when it was over...I think we were too! Eddy and I have both been sick with the crud this past week...thankfully we are back to normal now!

Finally an evening at home...

So, it's been a while since I've updated my blog, which I'm sure everyone has noticed. Let's just say this year has brought lots of interesting challenges my way so far that have been taking lots of my time! For the first time since last Friday we finally had some quite time at home, so took some pictures of Abigail today...two days before she turns two. It's amazing how quickly time flies. Back this weekend with more pictures of the birthday girl!

Best Day Ever!

Since it is MLK Day, the bank is closed and I got a day to myself! I took Abigail to Tammy's around 7:45, then came back home. I sat in the bed, watched Power Puff Girls and ate Lucky Charms...it was awesome! Around 9 I got up and did a little scrapbooking...showered at 10, and headed downtown to eat lunch with Eddy. We went to Paradise Cafe. I left there around 12 and went to Pottery Barn Kids. In true form, I picked up lots of things and left with nothing, not a bad way to be though, right? I also went to Dillards and they are having some super sales, so I did buy a few things there. I had a hair appointment at 2 and was there until 4:15, so then it was off to get Abigail. We got jr sundaes from Sonic on the way home. Now, to end the day perfectly I just need some Mexican food!! This day ROCKS!!!

A Good Picture??

So, Abigail's birthday is about 5 weeks away. Eddy thinks I'm starting to plan too early, but if you know me, you understand. Yesterday we went to Party City so she could pick out what theme she wanted. She picked Sesame Street, although The Backyardigans and Abby Cadabby were close seconds. So, I thought I'd get a picture of her with her Sesame Street stuffed animals to use for the invitation...it's been virtually impossible. I can't get her to sit still for longer than like 5 seconds, which isn't enough time for me to get a picture with our slow camera! I guess we'll just try again tomorrow!

Eddy, on the other hand, took a great picture with Elmo and Big Bird!

This is about the best one I got...and it's not exactly what I was going for! Of course, she's still super cute, but it's just doesn't hit me as "the picture."

Trip to Houston

This weekend we went to Houston to visit our friends Dee and Alphonse. They are practically family! We ate lots of good food, did some shopping, and just enjoyed spending time with each other.

Abigail opening her Christmas presents with Auntie Dee.
And the cutest thing is that tonight Abigail came and said "Auntie Dee?" like she was looking for her. She definitely knows who to keep on her side!
